NASCAR racing and good food go hand-in-hand, maybe it’s a good tailgate party or it could be a favorite restaurant in a race town. And, more and more people with ties to NASCAR are serving up some good meals at restaurants of their own.
Buddy Arrington: Buddy’s Taste of Home, Collinsville, Virginia

Arrington was one of the “independents” on the NASCAR starting 560 races between 1964 and 1988, with 15 finishes inside the top five. Driving his “Mopar” he was a mainstay at racetracks in that era. Now, he’s serving up favorites at Buddy’s Taste of Home in Collinsville, Viriginia; just north of Martinsville.

The restaurant serves steak and seafood, all cooked on a charcoal grill, along with a soup and salad bar, homemade breads and desserts. All the food is fresh and not frozen.
The Comptons enjoy finding local restaurants as they travel with racing and have incorporated many local favorite dishes from across the tour into their menu as well.
