There are a lot of people who go to church but never understand the Bible.  They are just going through the motions.  I think that is where people are living, by the law and not by grace.

I grew up going to church with my mother and grandmother.  I was going through the motions.  I never really realized what was going on – I didn’t pick up on having faith in Christ.

When I was 15, my uncle was killed in a pit road accident, and I was right there with him.  I realized how close I came to being killed.  I realized that if I was going to be in this sport, I needed Someone to protect me.  You can’t do it on your own.  I gave my life over to the Lord.  Every time I get into a race car, I turn everything over to Him.  Unless you build your house on the Rock, Jesus, it’s going to fall.
